Sanam Teri Kasam Re-release Box Office Day 12: Harshvardhan Rane's film remains steady despite competition from Chhaava

Sanam Teri Kasam re-release box office update

According to the latest box office figures, Sanam Teri Kasam re-release held a strong grip at the box office as it minted Rs 65 lakh. Over the next five days, including its second Tuesday, the film added another Rs 5.75 crore to its tally. With this, the total earnings of the 2016 romantic film's re-release have reached Rs 31.9 crore.

Harshvardhan Rane says he was not the first choice for Sanam Teri Kasam

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Harshvardhan Rane revealed that he was not the first choice for the film. He recalled that he arrived four months late for the audition, and the makers told him they had already cast someone else, who was sitting in the next room. 

"They had completed costume fittings, and the poster shoot was scheduled in two days. I begged for an audition, and they initially said I was wasting their time. However, after over two to three hours, they came, hugged me, and said, ‘You have caused us a lot of trouble.’ I later crossed paths with the actor I had replaced—Ehan Bhat—who handled the situation maturely. Years later, we worked together in Dange," he added. 

Regarding the second part of Sanam Teri Kasam, the director duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru revealed that they have locked the script of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 and they might release it in next year on Valentine's Day (2026).
