With KGF2's enormous success, all eyes are on Yash's next film, Toxic. The Kannada actor is all set to begin filming Geetu Mohandas' movie soon. At a recent event, the actor fielded several questions about the movie and Shah Rukh Khan's rumoured cameo in it.
When speaking about Toxic, Yash, dressed in a patterned shirt with his signature ponytail, said it is not just a pan-Indian film but a pan-world film. The massive Goa drug cartel appears to be the background against which the movie is set. And here’s what Yash said about Shah Rukh’s role in Toxic:
What did Yash say about SRK’s rumoured cameo in Toxic?
There have been rumours that Shah Rukh Khan has been asked to make a brief appearance in the gangster action thriller movie. The rumours stem from the fact that there has been a buzz that Toxic's creators have approached SRK about a major part. The role has a proper character arc and is essentially an extended cameo. According to reports, the Dunki actor has neither confirmed nor denied doing the movie and will soon inform the filmmakers of his choice.
Responding to reporters present at the event, Yash pointed out that there has been no formal confirmation of SRK’s inclusion in the casting yet. He assured everyone that word of the casting would be revealed eventually. Adding to this, Yash advised his fans not to trust rumours of any kind unless he or the makers independently say something.
What is Toxic all about?
Toxic marks former Malayalam actor and director Geetu Mohandas' first Kannada film. It is also her first project with Yash. The movie, which is rumoured to have an enormous budget, is believed to centre around a drug cartel in Goa. It's also noted that the movie has a fantastic plot and substance.
Kareena Kapoor plays the female protagonist, but official confirmation about this is still awaited. It has been revealed that Steve Gryphon has been contacted to handle the stunt choreography for the movie, while Charan Raj will be composing the music. Recent sources state that Yash is also co-producing the movie, which will be the first to be released under his Monster Mind Creations banner. The release date of Toxic is rumoured to be in April 2025.
