Prime Video is all set to release the noir crime thriller Shehar Lakhot this week, and the trailer was released a few days back. The series has an ensemble cast that includes Priyanshu Painyuli as Devendra Singh Tomar, nicknamed Dev; Chandan Roy Sanyal as Kairav Singh; Kubbra Sait as Sub Inspector Pallavi Raj; and Shruthy Menon as Sandhya in the eight-episode series.
A glimpse into Shehar Lakhot's dark world
The trailer immerses viewers in a world where murder, politics, blackmail, and love are all tools used in a game of deceit, hidden goals, and deception. Returning to his birthplace of Lakhot (made up) to face his demons, the prodigal son unwittingly becomes embroiled in a deadly game, just as the city itself becomes a hazardous fight for vested interests, each with their own secret goal.

Priyanshu Painyuli portrays Dev Singh Tomar, the wayward son who is eventually compelled to come home. Dark and cynical yet weirdly charming, Dev has long struggled with rage issues that have gotten him in trouble with the law and driven a wedge between him and his family. A piece of him hopes to find forgiveness by revisiting his past. However, a wrongful murder accusation takes his life on an unexpected turn. Will Dev be able to get in touch with his family again? How successful will his defence be?
Chandan Roy Sanyal portrays Kairav Singh, the self-proclaimed monarch of Shehar Lakhot and the most brutal character in the show. Looking for respect and credibility, Kairav is here to govern in the game of politics to achieve his aspirations. He despises defeat, whether in business or sports. He has a high drive for pleasure and success but no compassion for others. However, deep down, Kairav is yearning for recognition and legitimacy and has desires to surpass his father in everything.
As S.I. Pallavi Raj, Kubbra Sait strives to shake things up in a corrupt police station in a town with a bad reputation for violence. The character poster depicts Kubbra as an unglamorous, tough, and honest woman. Pallavi is a woman with a spine, one who takes chances and is not afraid to go up against the perpetrators and deliver justice to the victim. As Pallavi investigates a grisly murder, she soon uncovers a tangled web of deceit. She fights to dismantle the corrupt system that has locked her in Lakhot and bring about justice.
Like any hero or villain, Shehar Lakhot has a love interest. Dev longs to reunite with Sandhya, his ex-girlfriend portrayed by Shruthy Menon. She longs to escape Kairav's ambitious world and return to Lakhot, but she remains trapped there. Despite coming from a traditional household and having a checkered background, Sandhya knows exactly what she wants. Time will tell if she is successful, though.
Offroad Films produced the intriguing show Shehar Lakhot, with Navdeep Singh and Khalil Bachooali serving as executive producers. Singh helmed, co-wrote, and co-created the film with Devika Bhagat. Manu Rishi Chadha, Kashyap Shangari, Chandan Roy, Manjiri Pupala, Shruti Jolly, Gyan Prakash, and Abhilash Thapliyal are among the ensemble cast members who support Priyanshu Painyuli, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Shruthy Menon, and Kubbra Sait in the series' lead roles. On November 30, the series will debut on Prime Video.
