It is known that Suriya is busy shooting for Bala's Suriya 41 (tentative title) and Vetri Maaran's ambitious project Vaadi Vaasal. While the former went on floors a while ago in Kanyakumari, the latter underwent a test shoot in the outskirts of Chennai more than a month ago.

Suriya 41 has Krithi Shetty playing the female lead; GV Prakash has been roped in to compose music. The female lead of Vaadi Vaasal is yet to be confirmed by the makers, but they, too, have announced GV Prakash as their project's musician. Suriya's production house 2D Entertainment Pvt Ltd is bankrolling Bala's movie, while Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations is producing Vetri Maaran's film.

Though yet to be made official, it is more or less confirmed that Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame will direct Suriya after he completes two of his current assignments. According to sources, the film, to be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, will have a story which is set in the future. It is likely to have a theatrical release in 2024.

We hear that Ravikumar will be taking a year's time to complete the pre-production process for the project. He is now busy with Ayalaan, a sci-fi movie that revolves around an alien. Sivakarthikeyan is playing the lead in the movie which has AR Rahman scoring music for the first time for a project that stars the former.

Rakul Preet Singh and Karunakaran among others play important roles in Ayalaan which was announced a few years ago. A few days ago, there were reports that the movie might hit the screens this Deepavali.

Suriya will join hands with Sudha Kongara as well, however, it is not confirmed whether the star will take it up before beginning Ravikumar's movie.
