Team Vaadi Vaasal releases more pictures of Suriya, Vetri Maaran from test shoot

Vetri Maaran's Vaadi Vaasal has been garnering humongous expectations from movie buffs ever since the project was announced officially with a poster a few months ago. Suriya will be seen playing the lead role in the film which is based on a novel of the same name written by Chellappa.

A few days ago, the movie was in the news when actor-politician Karunas announced that he has joined the movie as an assistant director. He began his career as a gaana singer and went on to don a few notable characters before he made his entry into politics. 

The team organized a test shoot on Sunday on ECR in Chennai which was attended by Suriya, Vetri and a few other crew members. A couple of pictures from the location which reminded of a jallikattu event were leaked and fans of the star were excited to the core.

Now, a few more stills from the event are doing the rounds. One of the pictures has Soori, too, in it. It looks like he is also playing a pivotal character in the movie. Soori has just completed shooting for Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai which is expected to hit the screens soon.

Actor-filmmaker Ameer is said to be another actor who is part of Vaadi Vaasal's cast. Velraj will be handling cinematography for the movie which has GV Prakash as its music composer. GV has been the composer for most of Maaran's directorial projects, including his last film Asuran.

Suriya's first OTT release, Soorarai Pottru, too, had music by GV Prakash. Maaran's upcoming movie, Viduthalai, has music composed by Ilaiyaraaja for the first time. Vaadi Vaasal brings together Suriya and Vetri Maaran for the first time.
