In the world of digital evolution and the rise of streaming, discovery is also about finding new platforms and the kinds of content they serve on the internet. Abundant content is released every single day across the world, with platforms offering every kind of genre, some of which we might not even have heard of. But in this chaos of being first, we often miss out on discovering a lot. VROTT is a streamer with an interestingly wide and still-growing library. There are genres, subgenres, and content catering to each type of viewer. But the one that the platform primarily serves is for those who crave action and thrills in their movies. There are enough jump scares and action here if you take the time to discover them.

The crime and thriller genres are always exciting to explore because there is room for so much to happen. As an audience, you aren't questioning the nature of things happening because they are criminal anyway. So the genre has the power to either leave you dreading it or turn you into a detective. The gallery at VROTT is one such place that houses a range of crime thrillers, as mentioned above. There's a nurse being haunted by a faceless danger, Russell Crowe being unhinged, and a whole lot of other movies to keep you hooked.

So, we decided to explore this new streamer and tell you what you should be watching this week. Below are films that we discovered on VROTT and ones you must add to your watchlist. Bonus, the platform is available with your OTTplay Premium subscription too.

Cast: Rose Williams, Mark Smith, and Marley Chesham.
Director: Corinna Faith.

Let's begin with a movie that will creep you out. You might not even want to visit an empty facility for the next few days—you are warned. It's set in an empty East London Royal Infirmary, where a trainee nurse is on duty. What looks like an easy job soon turns into a nightmare as she is made to confront her traumatic past while the world around her is in danger and the one causing it is lurking in the shadows. Isn't it creepy enough just from the description? Watch the film on VROTT to get more of it.

Call Of Heroes (2016)

Cast: Ching Wan Lau, Eddie Pang, and Louis Koo.
Director: Benny Chan.
Action dramas where the saviour is away and their home is invaded are a plot we have found our comfort zone in. Call Of Heroes is a movie from that department. The village is invaded by a dreaded warlord who kills and robs innocent villagers when the saviours of the town are away. When they return and see their world in distress, they decide to take revenge. This is a movie you must watch when you are craving a big dose of drama and action.

Sweet River (2020)

Cast: Jack Ellis, Lisa Kay, and Jeremy Waters.
Director: Justin McMillan.

There's a mother who has lost her son and is now seeking his body. There is a sleepy town that has secrets buried. What do the investigations lead to? Hanna, a mother, is on a quest that is heartbreaking and shattering to the core, but her investigation unearths secrets that were kept hidden from the world for a long time. Sweet River is spooky and haunting to the max. The story itself has an emotional tsunami attached to it, adding to the thrills.

T.I.M (2023)

Cast: Georgina Campbell, Eamon Farren, and Mark Rowley.
Director: Spencer Brown.

What does an AI takeover of the world look like? What if the technology we created to serve us becomes the ruler and we have to be at its service? T.I.M is an alarm for dystopia. Abi, a prosthetics engineer, created an AI humanoid designed to serve humans. But things take a turn for the worse when the AI develops a toxic obsession with Abi and is now after her. What will stop the AI, and are you spooked enough?

Unhinged (2020)

Cast: Russell Crowe, Caren Pistorius, and Gabriel Bateman.
Director: Derrick Borte.

Did you enjoy Beef on Netflix? We have a suggestion. Taking the road rage genre to a brutal level, Unhinged stars Russell Crowe as a psychopath who crosses paths with a woman who is on her way to work. Soon, his mission in life is to teach the woman a deadly lesson by targeting everyone she loves and giving her pain. The movie will make you think ten times before you pick a fight with a stranger.

All these movies are now available on VROTT, which can be accessed with your OTTplay Premium subscription. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else in the world of streaming and films.
