Viduthalai: Dinesh Karthik lauds Vetri Maaran's hard-hitting drama, calls it an unimaginable effort

More and more celebs are coming forward to heap praise on Vetri Maaran's latest film Viduthalai. The Soori-starrer has been receiving rave reviews from critics and the audience alike. Superstar Rajinikanth was the latest to have went gaga over the movie's making, music and performances.

The film, which was released along with Silambarasan's Pathu Thala, surpassed the latter in terms of word of mouth and is emerging as the winner of the clash. Cinephiles are now awaiting the second part of Viduthalai which is expected to hit the screens later this year.

Cricketer Dinesh Karthik is the latest to have smitten by the brilliance of Viduthalai. The video which has him talking about the film after watching it is now going viral on social media. He said that he has been a fan of Vetri Maaran from his debut movie Polladhavan.

He is said to have thoroughly enjoyed the movie and praised performances of Soori, Vijay Sethupathi and Gautham Menon. "It's a brutal and raw movie. I'm looking forward to its second part. It's really terrific and unimaginable effort has gone into its making. Viduthalai is a director's film," he added.

Later, he took to his Twitter page to shower praise on the project again. He wrote, "What a realistic portrayal of human emotions through such a raw and hard-hitting subject. The first train crash sequence shows his genius technically (sic)."
