The second installment of Viduthalai franchise might hit the screens in 2023

Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai Part 1 has opened to positive word of mouth and is raking in good numbers at the box office. The Soori-starrer, which also has Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre and Gautham Menon in key roles, has been garnering appreciation for its taut screenplay and riveting performances.
The second part of the franchise is expected to hit the screens later this year. The filmmaker has been receiving rave reviews for his making style ever since the movie hit the screens last Friday.
That he is teaming up with Suriya for Vaadivaasal under the banner of Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations is a known fact. There are humongous expectations riding on the ambitious project and a test shoot of the film was done in the outskirts of Chennai an year ago.
Cinephiles are eager to know when the movie will go on floors. They hope that it will commence after Viduthalai Part 2 gets released in the latter half of 2023. Vetri teaming up with Vijay and the rumoured Vada Chennai 2 are also in the pipeline. A film with Kamal Haasan is another news that has been doing the rounds.
It is now confirmed that the director will join hands with Dhanush for the fifth time. The duo had earlier collaborated for Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Vada Chennai and Asuran. Cinematographer Velraj, who had also helmed Dhanush-starrers Velaiilla Pattadhari and Thangamagan, has revealed the same in an interview.
However, the successful duo's fifth collaboration wouldn't be Vada Chennai 2. According to him, the much-expected sequel will take more time for pre-production.
