Wonderful World Episode 5 Review

Episode 5 of Wonderful World is an emotionally captivating thriller. Be it the well-written dialogues or the flawless narrative, the meticulous detailing in the drama is commendable. The mystery and suspense elements make up for the long, 1-hour watch. The journey of self-healing and emotional trauma is beautifully showcased in Wonderful World.

Cha Eun-woo as Seon-yul may have less screen time than Kim Nam-joo's (Soo hyun), but his acting chops are admirable and this new role suits him perfectly. From riding bikes and doing dangerous jobs to working as a mechanic, the layered character is enhanced by Cha Eun’woo’s charismatic personality. This is also a challenging role for him because this is the first time he has swapped his romantic persona for a ‘traumatic’ character.

While veteran actress Kim Nam-joo has impressed everyone with her fine acting, she acts with utmost sincerity and easily manages to connect with viewers. Episode 5 also highlights the unlikely friendship between Soo-hyun and Seon-yul. However, things quickly escalate to anger and resentment in the climax scene. This leaves you on the edge of your seat as you are left waiting for the next episode to unravel the mysterious connection between them.

Wonderful World Episode 5 Verdict

Wonderful World is an engaging thriller K-drama with a blend of mystery, trauma, family love, and revenge. Stream it for an overall entertaining experience, along with some life lessons and well-written dialogues.

Lee Seung-young's directorial is a thriller mystery that stars Kim Nam-joo, Cha Eun-woo, Kim Kang-woo, Im Se-mi, and Won Mi-kyung in pivotal roles.
