The team of Samantha's Yashoda had unveiled a first glimpse video a few months ago which offered a sneak peek into the movie's genre. The actress was seen waking up in a room only to realize that she has been held captive in a room at a place which is completely unfamiliar to her.
The makers also announced that the movie, which will be released in multiple languages, will hit the screens on August 12. However, they postponed the release owing to reasons best known to them.
Now, they have come up with a new poster and have announced a new release date. The film will hit the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi on November 11. Varalaxmi, Sampath, Murali Sharma and Unni Mukundan among others essay key roles in the project which has cinematography by M Sukumar and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh.
The movie is the second outing of Samantha this year; she was seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal along with Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi earlier this year. She has Shaakuntalam and Kushi coming up in Telugu, while there are strong rumours doing the rounds about her inclusion in the much-awaited Tamil project Thalapathy 67.
The actress is said to have dubbed for the Tamil and Telugu versions of Yashoda which has been helmed by Hari and Harish. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad has bankrolled the film under the banner of Sridevi Movies and has dialogues penned by Pulagam Chinnarayana and Challa Bhagyalakshmi for the Telugu version.
Billed as a new-age action thriller, the movie is said to have ample dose of mystery and emotions in it. Mani Sharma's music and Samantha's action scenes choreographed by Venkat and Yannick Ben are said to be highlights of Yashoda.
