Action King Arjun Sarja is releasing his 15th directorial – Seetha Payana(m) – a romantic drama starring his daughter Aishwarya and Real Star Upendra’s nephew Niranjan Sudhindra in the lead on February 14, 2026. A Telugu-Kannada bilingual, Seetha Payana(m) is being dubbed in Malayalam and Tamil too, and the team has been promoting it in all the relevant markets, even though, most of the conversations are about how they can’t reveal much prior to the release.

During the Kerala leg of the promotions, though, Arjun was asked about a genre he’d like to work on and he said that he is looking at doing a horror film, for which he has written a basic plot line, which he is looking at developing further. As the conversation later turned to the Malayalam movies each of the interviewees had seen recently, Fahadh Faasil was mentioned and then, Arjun added that he’d recently spoken to Fahadh and discussed the line he had for a horror film.

“Just recently I was talking to Fahadh that I have a story for him. The concept is ready,” said Arjun speaking to Mazhavil Manorama. When pressed about Fahadh’s response to this pitch, Arjun was non-committal, laughed and said, “Yeah, I want to direct actors like him.”

As for Seetha Payana(m), as the title suggests, it is a feel-good subject following a journey about gratitude, value of relationships, but with all the elements that a commercial film requires, like songs, action, comedy, etc. “Among all my directorials, I believe that Seetha Payanam is the most apt for Malayalam audiences,” he said. The official summary notes that the film follows Chef Seetha, who, after an accident, sets out to meet the people who saved her life.

Seetha Payanam also stars Sathyaraj, Prakash Raj, Kovai Sarala, has music by Anup Rubens and cinematography by G Balamurugan. The film, with a run-time of 2 and a half hours, marks the Telugu film debut for both Aishwarya and Niranjan.
