Soon after the release of Sitaare Zameen Par Genelia Deshmukh is on a signing spree. The actor, after spending the last several years devoted to her family, was recently also seen in Kannada-Telugu bilingual film Junior, Now, she is gearing up to tackle additional projects. Earlier, Genelia has expressed an interest in being a part of horror films. However, an entire horror film is still on her wish list, but she will be delving into a similar genre with an upcoming horror comedy.

Teaming up with Manoj Bajpayee

Police Station Mein Booth is the next film from Ram Gopal Varma, which stars Genelia opposite Manoj Bajpayee. "I am doing that film with Manoj Bajpayee. I’m very excited because it’s a horror comedy. I’ve never done a genre like that," Genelia said to the Bombay Times when asked about the project.

Meanwhile, Genelia spoke with Bollywood Hungama earlier, where she talked about forthcoming film schedule and her partnership with RGV. The actor revealed, "I am also doing a film with Ram Gopal Varma, which is also exciting, as I have never done a horror film before. Often, you have the desire to dabble in ten genres, but you also need to be offered films in those genres! Then, I am also a part of Gunmaaster G9 with Emraan Hashmi. Again, it’s a space that I have never explored before. As an actor, you feel you have evolved. You do a bit of what you have done before, but you also want to be challenged. Hence, I am grateful that I am offered these parts."

Genelia, went on to say, "I had signed all these before Sitaare Zameen Par release. It’s not like I signed them right now. I was quiet about it. I am not someone who talks about it. This is the first time I am openly admitting to working on these films."

Hopes for a reunion with Imran Khan

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na in which Genelia co-starred with Imran Khan, remains a memorable film for the fans even after more than 15 years of its release. There has been much conjecture over Imran's comeback to the big screen, and Genelia expressed her excitement about the prospect of a reunion.

She told the leading daily, "I hope the comeback happens fast. I would love to do a film with him. Imran and I had a great time while we were shooting. So, I would look forward to it for sure."
