Ved

Riteish Deshmukh's directorial debut Ved, is a 2022 Marathi romance drama film starring himself and Genelia D'Souza. The film is a remake of Majili, a 2019 Telugu film.
Satya played by Riteish Deshmukh, a gifted cricketer falls in love with Shravani played by Genelia D'Souza who is his childhood friend and neighbor in the film. Satya's attachment with cricket as well as his inability to commit to Shravani, damage their relationship.While Satya's desire to play for the Indian Cricket Team leads him to Mumbai, where he meets and falls in love with Nisha played by Jiya Shankar who is a lovely and ambitious woman. Because of their distinct social background, Nisha's parents hold a grudge against their relationship. Satya and Nisha on the other hand, resolve to marry in secret.
Satya's career takes off, and he quickly finds himself on the Indian Cricket Team. His marriage to Nisha however is short-lived as she leaves him for another guy. Satya is heartbroken and goes into depression.
Meanwhile Shravani who has always loved Satya stays by his side during this challenging phase. She assists him in overcoming his sadness and resuming his life. Satya eventually recognizes his feelings for Shravani and they marry.
The film delves on issues such as love, loss, redemption, and second chances. It's a touching story about two people who find their way back to one other after a long separation.
