Karuppu, starring Suriya, is one of the most-awaited films from Tamil cinema and the as days go, the delay in announcing the release date, has only irked fans. Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu is expected to be out this summer. RJ Balaji, who took part in a college event recently, had some exciting updates to give about the Suriya-starrer film.

Karuppu: What did RJ Balaji say about the release plans?

Karuppu is an upcoming Tamil film starring Suriya in the lead role. The film is written and directed by RJ Balaji who is an actor himself. While the film was announced earlier, the makers are yet to officially announce the release date. This has irked Suriya’s fans, who keep asking update on Karuppu release on social media.

RJ Balaji who recently took part a college event, broke the silence regarding Karuppu. He said, “The film is over and ready for release, and I have stepped out for this event. Normally, before the release of film, if we overhype the film and it does not match the expectations of audience, fans do not spare. I believe that Karuppu film will be good. I have been asked about Karuppu update for a while. We are on the last lap and it will release in summer. It will come after elections. Karuppu is a film that you can watch with family and it will entertain all.”

On this note, the makers are soon to announce the release date. Earlier, RJ Balaji had said that the release date will be announced along with second single.

Karuppu: What do we know so far?

Karuppu is expected to be a courtroom drama with fantasy/divine elements. RJ Balaji will also play the villain in the film, opposite Suriya. Actors Trisha, Indrans, Swasika , Natty Subramaniam, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy and Yogi Babu form the cast. Sai Abhyankkar will be scoring the music, after AR Rahman stepped down.
