Following the pre-birthday festivities of actor Suriya, the makers of his next film Karuppu released the second-look poster at midnight to celebrate the actor who turned 50. Karuppu, written and directed by actor and filmmaker RJ Balaji, is the next release for Suriya. The teaser is soon to be released.

Last seen in Retro, actor Suriya is currently working with filmmaker and actor RJ Balaji in Karuppu. The film’s second look poster was released at 12 am on Wednesday. The second look shows Suriya in a rural getup, with a red shirt and black dhoti as he is sitting and surrounded by humans who are dressed as local deities. With a sickle on their hands, and heavy makeup, the poster hints that the film has something to do with divine intervention.
Ever since the release of poster, fans of Suriya have been in awe of the actor. Many netizens have been pointing out how Suriya does not seem 50 and is effortlessly looking the same he has been for years.
Karuppu marks the first time Suriya will be working with RJ Balaji, who has previously directed films like Mookuthi Amman and Veetla Vishesham. Produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, the teaser of Karuppu will be released at 10 am on July 23.
Karuppu will feature Trisha as the female lead in her reunion with Suriya after a long time. The duo has acted in films like Mounam Pesiyadhe Ayutha Ezhuthu, Aaru, and a song in Manmadhan Ambu. Others in the cast include actors Yogi Babu, Indrans, Swasika, Sshivada, Natarajan Subramaniam aka Natty, Anagha Maaya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy.

Shot by cinematographer GK Vishnu, with Vikram Mor handling the action choreography of the film, R Kalavanan is the editor. Arjun Venjaramoodu handles the production design. Karuppu will have music by Sai Abhyankkar, who replaced AR Rahman in the film.
