Not Mohanlal’s Drishyam? Jeethu Joseph picks this Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer as his best movie

When Jeethu Joseph was asked to pick the favourite from his filmography, he picked the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Memories over his hugely popular Drishyam with Mohanlal.

Malayalam filmmaker Jeethu Joseph is gearing up for his next big release of Mirage, starring actors Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali. But the director is best known for his Drishyam films, led by superstar Mohanlal, that continue to be a topic of discussion around him. However, when Jeethu Joseph was asked to pick the favourite from his filmography, he picked a Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Memories over Mohanlal’s Drishyam!

Jeethu Joseph picks Memories over Drishyam

Jeethu Joseph came under the national spotlight when the first Drishyam film released in December 2013. During a recent promotional interview with 360 Radio ahead of the release of Mirage, Jeethu Joseph was asked to pick his favourite movies. Though he was given options from Mohanlal-led legal drama Neru, Suresh Gopi-starrer Detective and Memories, Jeethu Joseph chose the Prithviraj film. But surprisingly, when Drishyam 1 and 2 were also added, Jeethu still stuck to Prithviraj’s Memories, much to the surprise of the interviewer and us viewers as well.

Where to watch Drishyam, Prithviraj’s Memories on OTT

The Malayalam film Memories released in August 2013, ahead of Drishyam which also hit screens the same year but in December. You can watch both Memories and Drishyam on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium.

In Memories Prithviraj Sukumaran stars in the lead role of a cop Sam Alex, who drowns his miseries in alcohol after his beloved wife and daughter’s death. Despite this, he is assigned a crucial case as a string of murders are reported in the city, which takes him down a sinister route of crimes.

Drishyam, on the other hand, stars Mohanlal as Georgekutty who vows to protect his family after a crime is inevitably committed in his home. Drishyam 2 which released in 2021 also attained instant fame and now all eyes are on Drishyam 3 which will begin shooting soon.
