The Malayalam film, Sangarsha Ghadana (The Art of Warfare), is all set to have a theatrical release soon. The movie, which is directed by Krishand RK, will hit the big screen on August 8.

Sangarsha Ghadana release date

The movie, which was screened in various film festivals, will have a theatrical premiere in the coming week. If released on the said date, it will be running in theatres along with Narain-starrer Sahasam.

The main character of the movie is Kodamazha Suni, a former criminal lord who is forced to return to his native country after an unidentified enemy attacks his old gang. Haunted by his old choices, Suni's quest resembles the conflicts of ancient warriors as he confronts his most dangerous foe to yet. The wisdom of an old Chinese literature is used to look at Suni's way of thinking as the battle intensifies. The main focus of the film is how he is affected by the revelations of the age-old conflict between tactics and survival.

Vishnu Agasthya and Sanoop Padaveedan are playing the lead roles in this film, with Rahul Rajagopal, Mahi, Zhinz Shan, Jayesh L R, Megha Ranjini Krishnan, and Mrudula Murali in supporting parts. Among the many honours Sangarsha Ghadana received was the Best Feature Film award from the previous year's Paradise Film Festival. The director has written the screenplay. According to the creators, Sun Tzu's book served as the inspiration for Sangarsha Ghadana, which speaks of the art of battle. Rajesh Naroth created the music for Krishand Films' Sangarsha Ghadana, and Prayag Mukundan served as the director of photography.

The filmmaker is known for his prior film such as Aavasavyuham and Purusha Pretham, which are streaming on Sony LIV via OTTplay Premium. His upcoming works include the Malayalam web series, Sambhavavivaranam Nalara Sangham, which has also been bought by the same OTT platform. In an interview with OTTplay, Krishand revealed that The Chronicles of the 4.5 Gang, also known as Sambhavavivaranam Nalara Sangham, is a peculiar but fascinating gangster story set in Trivandrum.
