What is the plot of Nivin Pauly's Sarvam Maya?

Prabhendhu Nambhoothiri, an aspiring singer from an esteemed priestly family, is the protagonist of this poignant drama. However, due to an unanticipated event, he must return to his ancestral home and work part-time as a priest with his cousin in order to sustain himself financially. Shortly after a puja ritual, a ghost who he calls Delulu afterwards follows him, yet she does not appear to be an inconvenience but entirely alters his life in an amusing manner.

What happens in the climax of Sarvam Maya?

In the final thirty minutes of the movie, Delulu professes her love for Prabhendhu as they travel home after meeting Saadhya. He seems shaken, though, as he expresses his feelings for Saadhya. However, as Delulu remembers her past, things quickly shift. When she gives Prabhendu a hug, he feels her memories. With her story acknowledged and understood, she goes serenely after revealing her real name - Maya Mathew.

Prabhendhu later visits Maya's home to meets her mother, portraying himself as her friend. Prabhendhu pauses before responding in the positive when Maya's mother enquires as to whether he is the one Maya loved before her death. Although it is uncertain if this confirmation is real or not, it is evident that the creators intended to provide closure to both Prabhendhu and Maya's mother. He remembers Maya's earlier description of the light breeze as a manifestation of her presence as he leaves the house. Ultimately, Prabhendhu becomes a musician and keeps living life to the fullest.
