Hit Malayalam filmmaker Jeethu Joseph’s latest thriller film Valathu Vashathe Kallan is all set to make its digital premiere, within two months of its theatrical release. Starring actors Biju Menon and Joju George in the lead roles, the film will drop on Manorama Max on March 27, 2026. Notably, Valathu Vashathe Kallan makes its digital debut a week before Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 arrive in theatres.

The 2026 Malayalam film Valathu Vashathe Kallan, which hit theatres on January 30, will begin streaming on Manorama Max from Friday. Like other movies on the platform, the film will be available to watch in Malayalam with English subtitles.

Though helmed by Drishyam director, Valathu Vashathe Kallan had opened to mixed reviews and a forgettable run at the box office. However, the latest Malayalam thriller is expected to find more takers after its digital debut.

What is Valathu Vashathe Kallan movie about

The plot of Valathu Vashathe Kallan revolves around cop CI Antony, a corrupt police officer, whose paths cross with that of Samuel. When Samuel’s daughter goes missing and is later found dead, he seeks revenge. How Samuel makes Antony reveal the truth are depicted in the film. As he plots the cop’s downfall, Antony needs to race against time to save his own son.

Though a thriller, the movie also portrays a father-child relationship. While Biju Menon is seen as the CI, Joju George plays the grieving father Samuel. KR Gokul of Aadujeevitham fame, Lena, Leona Lishoy and Shaju Sreedhar are also part of the film.

Jeethu Joseph’s next and the most anticipated film is Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal in the lead role of Georgekutty. The third installment of the thriller franchise will hit theatres on April 2, 2026. But the makers are yet to begin promotions, with concerns being raised over a possible delay.
