There are only a few people following pop culture at the moment who are not curious to see what James Gunn and Peter Safran have been cooking at their newly revamped DCU. It’s been a year since they were announced as the new bosses and they scrapped the old timeline only to shape a new dawn. While it has already been a year and the first live-action movie from the studio will be released on July 11, 2025, it will be over two years by then. The gamble is big and the bosses better have something revolutionary in store. However, the backend work is progressing at good speed, and other projects apart from 'Superman: Legacy' are now moving in full swing.

In the past couple of months, the DCU has been much more than just Superman: Legacy, and fans are happy that the Warner Bros. wing is finally moving forward at a fast pace. We have been listening to updates about 'Supergirl: The Woman Of Tomorrow', 'The Authority' being considered to be a part of the world, 'The Brave And The Bold' moving forward, and much more. The makers have even begun casting for many projects, with Milly Alcock coming on board as the new Supergirl. It is indeed an exciting and curious time to be a DC fan.

So now, as many things have been confirmed about the new DCU and many faces have joined James Gunn and Peter Safran’s vision, we thought of making things easier for you. Below is a list of seven confirmed actors who will be playing several characters in the DCU, along with their confirmed superhero roles and the movies they will feature in. Read on and stay updated with whatever is happening in your favourite realm.

David Corenswet as Superman

The anticipation to see David Corenswet as Clark Kent in 'Superman: Legacy' is not just about what he is about to bring to the table but also whether he is able to replace Henry Cavill skillfully enough that we can accept him as our Blue Boy Scout over Cavill’s stellar act. The star is all buffed up to play the role, and Gunn has promised a whole lot of things for the film. Now we are curious to see what they have in store for us. Rachel Brosnahan has been cast to play Lois Lane, opposite him.

Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern (Guy Gardner)

The last time we met a Green Lantern, it was Hal Jordan, played by Ryan Reynolds, and he was not really welcomed with open arms. James Gunn is now bringing another member of the Green Lantern Corps, Guy Gardener, to 'Superman: Legacy'. Nathan Fillion has worked with Gunn on 'Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3' and 'The Suicide Squad'. Meanwhile, there is also a Green Lantern-centered show titled 'Lanterns' coming to HBO Max. While Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart are all set to feature, whether Guy Gardner has a spot in the show or not is a mystery.

Milly Alcock as Supergirl

Milly Alcock has been the talk of the town for a while now, and this is the second time in the past couple of years after her saying in 'The Game Of Thrones' prequel, 'The House Of The Dragon'. She will be replacing Sasha Calle as Supergirl in 'Supergirl: The Woman Of Tomorrow'. The movie is adapted from Tom King’s comics and is being written by Ana Nogueira. There is no confirmation of what other projects she will be involved in yet. There is buzz that she might join David Corenswet in "Superman: Legacy" for a special appearance.

Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl

Isabela Merced is the last actor to be employed in both the Marvel realm and the DCU. She is all set to grace the big screen in "Madame Web," where she plays Anya Corazon, aka Spider-Girl. She will make her big-screen debut as Hawkgirl in the DCU with "Superman: Legacy." There are no details on what version of the much-anticipated character she will play, but she is going to be a very interesting addition, for sure.

Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho

Anthony Carrigan has found his redemption as a chance to play a superhero and one that is James Gunn’s favourite after playing a villain to Batman in 'Gotham'. The actor has been cast as Metamorpho in "Superman: Legacy." His superpowers allow him to convert his body into various elemental compounds, take various shapes and make weapons as he likes. This will be a very interesting character to see in the live-action world.

Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific

After playing mutant Darwin in "X-Men: First Class" for Fox, Edi Gathegi is changing pools as he joins the DCU for "Superman: Legacy," playing a pivotal Justice League character. He will be seen as Mister Terrific in the DCU. The smartest of them all has helped the team of superheroes technologically in the battles.

María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer

This is the most interesting character and cast choice in 'Superman: Legacy'. The Engineer is a character that has a liquid body and can do some very insane things with her superpowers. Add to it that she is a member of The Authority and will bring the gang to the DCU at some point. María Gabriela de Faría has been cast to play the part. Considering the nature of all the Authority members, she will dwindle between the good and the bad, making her the villain at some point. Which means she is the anti-hero we must be most worried about.
