The year started off with a bang for Shah Rukh Khan. The film was ‘Pathaan’, which had been released in the month of January (25th, to be precise). The film, which also had Deepika Padukone as the leading lady, went on to create and recreate box office history. The resultant was that, the eternal Shah Rukh Khan was back in action! King Khan followed it up by delivering yet another golden blockbuster in the form of Jawan, which was released on 7 September this year. This film too, sent the ball packing out of the stadium!
With the year coming to an end this month, Shah Rukh Khan is all set with his next film ‘Dunki’, which is all set to be released on December 21 this year. If the initial buzz is anything to go by, then, it’s a given that Dunki too will be a guaranteed blockbuster! With just a handful of days remaining for the film’s release, let's have a look at the six reasons why Dunki is a must watch!
Reason 1: Shah Rukh Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and…Shah Rukh Khan!
After having delivered two of the year’s blockbuster films back-to-back in the form of Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan is back on form! The promos and the teasers of the film simply highlight one thing, there is nothing that Shah Rukh ‘Khan’t!
Added to that is the ever-pleasant Shah Rukh Khan, whose character in the film aspires to go to London along with his friends. Just like in real life, Shah Rukh Khan is absolutely humorous and ceaselessly romantic… reasons good enough for the audiences to go weak on their knees!
Reason 2: Stellar cast alongwith Shah Rukh Khan
Even though Shah Rukh Khan’s sirf naam hi kaafi hai, the film also stars an enviable stellar cast that comprises some of the finest talents of Bollywood. These talents are in the form of Taapsee Pannu (as the leading lady), Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, Boman Irani in important roles. One of the USPs of the film is the first-time onscreen pairing between Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu, something that the audiences are eagerly looking forward to.
Reason 3: Dunki’s heart-touching music
It’s a given of sorts that, whenever there is any Shah Rukh Khan film, there has to be music that touches every heart. Dunki is no different. The film’s songs have already been declared as chartbusters. The track Lutt Putt Gaya, which happens to be a playful and fun one, has been sung by the mellow-dious singer Arijit Singh with groovy beats proving the perfect canvas.
Besides this, there is yet another Arijit Singh’s track titled ‘O Maahi’ which has already anchored itself as one of the season’s best tracks. There’s also Sonu Nigam, who weaves his vocal magic with the track Nikle The Kabhi Hum Ghar Se.
Reason 4: The coming together of two Bollywood giants!
Yes… Dunki marks the first-time association of superstar Shah Rukh Khan and the superstar director Rajkumar Hirani. The first ever teaser of Dunki which saw Shah Rukh Khan ‘requesting’ Rajkumar Hirani to cast him in his film, was good enough a reason for the cinegoers to expect a film that will be nothing less than a tornado at the box office. And if the advance bookings of Dunki is anything to go by, then, it seems that, even the term ‘tornado’ will prove to be an understatement!
Reason 5: Mystery surrounding over the storyline of Dunki
Ever since the time the film maker has announced the film ‘Dunki’, it has been making news. To start with, everyone was totally intrigued the pronunciation of the film. It was only after Shah Rukh Khan spoke about the film in his interviews, did everyone know the right way to pronounce the film’s title. And secondly, just like any other Rajkumar Hirani film, the film’s plot has been strictly kept under the wraps.
All that the audiences know about the film are the details that the film’s makers wanted them to know… in the form of teasers and trailers. It is this mystery element surrounding the film’s plot that has furthermore piqued the audiences’’ interest in seeing the film.
