The world will not be the same if Marvel bosses, at this point, announce even a single confirmed detail about their most anticipated project after Avengers: Secret Wars, the Fantastic Four Reboot. The studio has been sitting on the reboot for quite a while, and the patience of the fans is being tested to the maximum. Other than the announcement that they are working on the movie at the comic and that Matt Shakman is directing the film, everything we have heard is just rumors. Some seem substantial, but they are still rumors that cannot be completely trusted.

There is another speculation in the market at this point, and it is so lucrative that we couldn’t stop ourselves from telling you this new update. As per the latest reports, we might have gotten our hands on a very crucial piece of information regarding the Fantastic Four Reboot. It is now being said that the film is all set to go on floors much earlier than we ever imagined, and this has to be the biggest Marvel update of the week.

So here is a complete breakdown of the latest updates about the Fantastic Four Reboot:

What Is Fantastic Four Reboot?

Marvel announced a long time ago that they are all set to bring back the first family to the MCU. This is only possible because of the multiverse saga and the 20th Century Fox acquisition that finally gave the studio permission to use these characters. The film will, of course, have Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny, and Ben Grimm aka The Thing. Matt Shakman is currently shaping the Reboot with the studio.

While not much has been revealed about the plot of the movie, Kevin Feige has already confirmed that this will not be another origin story for the team as there have been enough of them. So the trajectory the new reboot will follow is a mystery only the release will solve.

When Does Filming Begin?

If things had gone according to plan, the studio could have been halfway through shooting the Fantastic Four Reboot by now. But the Hollywood strikes led to a halt, and all the plans went for a toss as there was no work happening for months. However, the latest update now says that the studio wants to get work up and running on Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four Reboot as per Jeff Sneider (via Comic Book Movie).

The scooper has also said the shoot for Matt Shakman's directorial might begin in mid-March. Which means we are just a couple of months away. What this also means is that an official cast announcement is not very far because. It was expected that the studio would announce the cast of the much-anticipated movie by the end of 2023, but that didn’t happen.

Fantastic Four Reboot Cast:

Almost the entire possible Hollywood crowd has by now been named as the potential cast of this film. You name the relevant actor, and he/she has been rumored to be in talks. The last and the most concrete one by now has been Pedro Pascal, and reports say he has been locked to play Reed Richards. There are also reports that Vanessa Kirby is making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Sue Storm alongside Pedro. Joseph Quinn is the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will be playing The Thing.

Fantastic Four Reboot Release Date:

The project has gone through multiple shuffles and release dates too. After the last shuffle in the entire MCU calendar, Fantastic Four Reboot now stands on May 2, 2025, as of now. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more updates on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
