Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan are one of the most talented actors in Bollywood currently. Recently, these two celebrities graced Koffee with Karan Season 8 – the popular celebrity talk show, hosted by Karan Johar. In the show, they spilled beans on their personal and professional lives in a quirky way including a mention of high-profile actress Deepika Padukone. Here’s what they said.

During a conversation on the show, Karan Johar asked Kareena Kapoor whether she considers Deepika Padukone as a competition in the film industry. To this question, Kareena replied, “No, not at all. I think that is Alia’s question for her rapid-fire, not mine.”

Hearing this response, Karan cheekily continued, “Aa gayi naa line pe.” Alia Bhatt laughs away.

Seconds later, Alia clarifies whether she considers Deepika as a competition. “Please, not at all. No, why would she be? She is my senior. There is no competition,” Alia said.

During a rapid-fire question-and-answer segment, Alia was asked if she believed she was the best actress in India currently. While Kareena, seated next to her, cheered her on to agree to that statement, Alia humbly answered. “Most definitely not,” Alia said, leaving Kareena miffed. When Karan asked her to name who she believes is the best actress currently in the country, Alia said, “There are many, I am definitely not it.”

More about Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor’s conversation

In the latest episode of Koffee with Karan, Alia Bhatt openly discussed her daughter Raha. Alia and Ranbir Kapoor have been intentionally guarding Raha's privacy, refraining from revealing her face in public. This contrasts with Kareena and Saif Ali Khan, who have been more open about sharing images of their sons Taimur and Jeh. During the show, both actresses acknowledged that there's no right or wrong way to approach this. Alia clarified that they haven't introduced Raha to the public yet because she's still very young, not even a year old at the time of the episode's taping. Emphasizing their protective stance, Alia expressed her desire for Raha not to become a mere "content piece on Instagram," highlighting that paparazzi respect their request by putting away their phones and cameras when Raha is with the couple.
