Ankita Lokhande shot to fame with her debut soap opera, Pavitra Rishta.
Recently, the Manikarnika actor marked 14 years since the series aired and eventually went on to become one of the most popular soaps on Indian TV at the time.
Celebrating her "first ever baby", Ankita uploaded two videos over two days, which are montages of her pictures from the show. The video showcased her character, Archana's, journey through the five years of the show.
Ankita captioned the first video, "14 years of Pavitra rishta and still feels so fresh and connected with my first ever baby.. Thanku god for everything!! And thanks you so much @ektarkapoor for always having that faith in me that I could be your archu and Thanku for giving me the new identity as Archana because the people who loved me during the show when they see or meet me now also ,the first name which comes in there mind is archu and I love it so much.. Thanku so much everyone around who has loved and watched this beautiful show called pavitra rishta with all there heart and soul .. I’m grateful forever."
While the message was a touching one, what netizens noted was that Ankita had cropped out the late Sushant Singh Rajput from some of the pictures, who played the male lead, Manav, on the show.
Ankita's followers almost immediately began slamming her for not including Sushant in the video, with many questioning the move. Especially since Sushant passed away in the month of June in 2020.
One user wrote, "Sushant ko bhul gyi.. ab wo nhi to uska pic bhi nhi dala.. waise yahi wo black month hai jisane hamre sushant ko hamse chhin liye.. 14 june."
Others pointed out that there is no Archana without Manav, so what was Ankita's motive behind cropping him out? "Still ignore The Most Important Person in your artistic career, do you think When you ignore him we don't notice or not reply? You will lose alot, unfortunatley it's clear you don't know the power Of ssrians and you think we looks like you betrayer, but Aarchana without Manav, nothing, he with himself everything, you have 4m followers all Of them ssrians you are Nothing Absoulatly Nothing, Still ignoring him, he don't need any from you, he is in better place."
