The fifth season of this Big Bang Theory spin-off sitcom series follows the life of the titular socially awkward boy-genius, Sheldon Cooper, as the young prodigy struggles to fit into the simple-minded surroundings that he is thrust into. In this season Sheldon’s journey is chronicled through his youth as a 12-year-old college student, finishing up his freshman year. Iain Armitage helms the role of Young Sheldon with the show also featuring Zoe Perry as Sheldon’s mother, Mary Cooper, and Lance Barber as Sheldon’s father, George Cooper, along with performances from Raegan Revord, Montana Jordan, Annie Potts, Wyatt McClure, and Jim Parsons, who played adult Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory, performing as the show’s narrator. The show was created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro with Jim Parsons also serving as an Executive Producer along with them, Steve Holland and Todd Spiewak.
