Kaattaan, aka Muthu alias Kaattaan is an upcoming Tamil web series which is set to be headlined by actor Vijay Sethupathi. The web series is part of the Tamil content slate of JioHotstar which the streaming platform had unveiled back in December. The makers of Kaattaan are gearing up for release, with the series slated for March 27 release.

We had already reported that actor Vijay Sethupathi will be starring in the upcoming web series titled Kaattaan. The series had been in the making for a while. Now, we have come to know that Kaattaan will premiere on JioHotstar from March 27 onwards. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium can also watch the series very soon. Kaattaan will release in multiple languages apart from his original Tamil version, including in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali. Rated A, the teaser of Kaattaan will soon drop.

Kaattaan is helmed by filmmaker Manikandan who has earlier made critically acclaimed films like Kaaka Muttai and Kadaisi Vivasayi. Kaattan marks Vijay Sethupathi's third collaboration with Manikandan after Aandavan Kattalai and Kadaisi Vivasayi both of which along with Kaaka Muttai, are available on OTTplay Premium to stream right now.

What is Kaattaan about?

Kaattaan is expected to be rural action drama and will show Vijay Sethupathi in a fierce avatar. It also marks the first time Manikandan will be trying action genre. It has been a while since Manikandan had directed, given his last outing was Kadaisi Vivasayi in 2023. The teaser of Kaattaan will reveal more, including the cast, plot and other details of the series.
