Vimanam

Written and directed by Siva Prasad Yanala, Vimanam is a Telugu drama film that follows a father's quest to make his son's biggest dream of getting on a flight become a reality. Veerayya lives a quaint life running the Sulabh Complex in a Hyderabad slum, near Begumpet, a life filled with love for his son, Raju, who loves aeroplanes and dreams of flying on one. Veerayya has no wife nor relatives, except for three neighbours he holds close: Daniel, a kind-hearted autorickshaw driver; Koti, a cobbler full of wit; and Sumathi, a kind and compassionate sex worker. Veerayya's life gets turned upside down one day as he learns that Raju has leukemia and only a few days to live. Fully determined to fulfil his son’s wish, Veerayya works strenuously through days and nights to save enough money to buy two flight tickets to Tirupati. Finally, with the help of Shweta, an air host, Veerayya and Raju go on a journey that will touch their hearts. The film features performances from Samuthirakani, Meera Jasmine, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rahul Ramakrishna, Dhruvan Varma, Dhanraj, and Motta Rajendran in prominent roles.
