The Marvel Cinematic Universe at this point is taking calculated steps, and every move is well thought out and presented. The studio, which now emphasizes quality over quantity, has now released the pilot and the second episode of one of its most anticipated shows, X-Men ’97. The show, which brings back the mutants in the MCU in a bigger way, is a revival of the yesteryear TV series that aired from 1992 to 1997. Ever since it was announced that the studio is venturing into the animated X-Men territory, fans have been excited and curious to know what will be served to them in this new era of the MCU. Now, as the show has released the first two episodes, the majority of them are satisfied with what has been served.
The first two episodes of X-Men ’97 have given us enough reasons to be excited. The fact that the approach is to have the X-Men fight battles without their mentor being around to guide them through is already exciting. We saw how the show takes place after Professor X has left Earth in search of a cure to heal his wounds. This means he has no active involvement in the show, at least in the initial stages. So now as the X-Men fight the enemies on their own, we may finally get to see their respective super strengths to their maximum capacity. The show has opened to some very good reviews from all corners of the world, and that raises our expectations for everything that is to follow.

Rogue

In X-Men ’97, the makers can use Rogue to the maximum as they can even venture into territories that the live-action world cannot.
Wolverine
Wolverine is, without a single doubt, the most lethal X-Men for the baddies. The man literally has blades for fingers, and his brain is cunning enough to win battles. With Professor X gone, he is the man with the most agency, and that means he has the final word in many situations. The fact that Logan will make his live-action MCU debut with Deadpool & Wolverine makes his time in X-Men ’97 very exciting.
Storm
Storm doesn’t even need to show her powers most of the time. Her gaze is enough to intimidate the enemies who come onto the battlefield to fight against her. While she believes in equality between mutants and humans, she is extremely deadly because she can change the weather at will and even use shocking electrical waves against the enemies who fight her. We have seen this in the X-Men movies under Fox, and she has always been one of the most fascinating characters.
Magneto
Magneto is no doubt one of the most dangerous antagonists. His powers know no limit. He can control metal, and we have even seen him pull iron from the bloodstream of a person. So if Magneto decides to fight the X-Men in X-Men ‘97, they need to be prepared for the worst and battle with the same intensity.
Phoenix
Phoenix is one of the strongest characters in the X-Men universe. As someone who can manipulate matter and energy, there is no way many can stand against her in battle. Over the years, in comics, we have seen her doing the impossible, and that puts her at the top of many lists that list down the most powerful mutants from the world of X-Men. However, how X-Men ’97 looks at her will be interesting to see.
